Energize With an Apple Dasher

With the new year comes new resolutions – personally I plan on de-chunking from the holidays asap.  On the agenda – lots of walks, yoga, veggies, fruits, and bright colors (always helps to energize and tune up my mood).  There will also be a lot of dashing around.  That’s why I love this low cal pick me up that is fabulous for energizing in lieu of caffeine – plus it’s super fast and easy to make and clean up after – hence the name “dasher”.  Here’s the recipe:

Ingredients:

3/4 cup Fresh Apple Juice
1/2 Lemon
1/2 cup Mineral Water

Pour apple juice and mineral water into lovely glass, spritz lemon half squeezing hard to get all the juice possible in.  You can add ice cubes, but this time of year I like this combo just a little bit chilled from the refrigerator.  This supplies vitamins C, B, Folate, Calcium, Iron, and Magnesium and has about 100 calories.
