The New Year is looking bright…bright pink that is! Color authority, Pantone, announced that its color of the year for 2011 is a fabulously intense pink they are calling “honeysuckle.”

Pantone predicts that we will see this color on everything from designer dresses to pillows, product packaging, nail polish, sofas, appliances and even tech gadgets.

Honeysuckle is a shade of pink that will remind you of sherbet! With a hint of red and a little orange zest, designers see honeysuckle as a pick-me-up color that will wash away the blues.

Whether you wear it or decorate around it, there are many ways to incorporate this vivid color in the New Year.

Fashion: Wearing the vibrant Honeysuckle will give you healthy glow that is sure to get you noticed! Extremely versatile, the color can be found in both men’s and women’s fashions. The holidays are here! That means a spirit of joy will be in the air. This time of year should be a time to relax and enjoy the company of friends and family. However, often times we get bogged down with stress—especially when it comes to buying gifts.

Holiday gift-buying doesn’t need to be stressful! As with most things, there’s etiquette to buying holiday gifts. We’ve gathered our top 3 tips to de-stress holiday gifts:

1. Tip the people who provide a service you can’t live without.
   This includes people like the mailman, shampoo girl at your salon and your newspaper delivery boy. The gift for them is simple—cash. $10 is a great starting point, but you should always consider the special things they’ve done for you. This is your chance to thank them for being so helpful!
2. Don’t attend Holiday parties empty-handed.
   Whether it’s a bottle of wine you grab on the way over or a succulent chocolate cake you spent an afternoon baking, always bring something along to a holiday party. If your friends are kind enough to open their house for an evening, the least you can do is provide a bit of refreshment.
   
3. The invitation say “Please, no Gifts”…refer to rule #2.
   Like we said before, don’t show up empty-handed. IF there’s no formal gift exchange, a bottle of wine or dessert is still a lovely gesture for the host(s).

Now that you’ve de-stressed about holiday gifts, take some time to sit back and relax! Grab a mug of coca, your favorite fuzzy slippers, and enjoy an evening around the fireplace with your friends and family. =)
